Swords in the Park
We regularly meet (weather permitting) at Meadow Park in San Luis Obispo every Saturday and Sunday at 9am-11am. These are informal meetups where we work on drills, sparring, or whatever we feel like that day. This is a great way to meet us and see what we do without any commitment. Look for us at the picnic table near the creek down from the restrooms/playground or at the horseshoe pits near the parking lot. It’s hard to miss a bunch of folks swinging swords!
Events
Members of Blackfriar’s regularly attend and compete at regional HEMA events. These events are a great way to test your skills and learn from some of the best instructors around the country. Most HEMA events use HEMA Scorecard to for scheduling and track tournament matches, making it a great resource to find upcoming events or view past tournaments.
